An organic, caffeine-free senna tea for people who want their cup to taste like berries: mixed berry flavor leads, with tangy hibiscus, cool spearmint and smooth licorice root behind it. Because it contains senna, please read the Caution section before your first cup.
Why We Blend Senna with Mixed Berry Flavor and Spearmint
Most senna teas on the market taste flat and bitter.
We thought that was a shame. If you are going to drink an herbal tea, it should be something you look forward to.
So we built this blend around flavor first. A mixed berry flavor gives the tea a bright, fruity sweetness that hits you before anything else. Hibiscus adds a natural tartness and a beautiful ruby-pink hue in the cup. Spearmint keeps things cool and fresh. Orange peel brings a citrusy lift. Fennel and licorice root smooth everything out with warm, rounded sweetness. Lemongrass adds a clean, crisp finish.
The senna is there, but it is surrounded by friends. Friends that make every cup taste like a berry tea first, and an herbal ritual second.
The result is a cup that is berry-forward, refreshing, and genuinely pleasant to drink. That was the goal. And we think we got it right.
What This Berry-Flavored Herbal Tea Tastes Like
🫐 First sip: Bright mixed berry sweetness — fruity, tart, and vibrant — with a cool spearmint breeze underneath 🌺 Mid-palate: Tangy hibiscus lifts the cup with cranberry-like brightness, while orange peel adds a citrusy spark and fennel brings a warm, rounded sweetness 🌿 Finish: Smooth licorice root and clean lemongrass fade into a gentle berry warmth — refreshing, not heavy, with a cool mint echo
Tasting notes: mixed berry sweetness · cool spearmint · tangy hibiscus · citrus brightness · fennel warmth · smooth licorice · clean lemongrass finish
Our favorite add-ins:
- Nothing at all — the berry flavor and licorice sweetness make this genuinely enjoyable on its own
- A drizzle of honey — deepens the berry sweetness into something almost jam-like
- A squeeze of lemon — lifts the tartness and makes the fruity flavors pop even more
- Iced with fresh berries — a beautiful, colorful way to enjoy it on warmer days
How to Brew This Senna Tea
Standard cup: Pour freshly boiled water (200-212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5-7 minutes. The berry flavor and spearmint come forward first, with the deeper herbal notes emerging as the steep continues. Remove the tea bag at the end of the steep.
Our founder's cup: One bag, enjoyed warm, with no sweetener. The licorice root and berry flavor already make it sweet and satisfying.
Iced berry tea: Brew one bag in 8 oz of hot water for 5-7 minutes, then remove the bag. Let cool, pour over a glass of ice. The mixed berry flavor becomes crisp and incredibly refreshing cold. Add a squeeze of lemon and a few fresh berries if you want to dress it up.
Important brewing note: This tea contains senna. Use one bag per cup. Do not exceed 2 cups per day. Do not use for more than 1 week continuously. See the Caution section below for full guidance.

A Note from Herbal Cup
Most senna teas do not taste good, so we set out to make one that is genuinely enjoyable. We built this one flavor first: a mixed berry flavor for the fruity sweetness, spearmint for the freshness, hibiscus for the color and the tang, fennel for the warmth. The berry note is the first thing you taste, and it makes a really pleasant cup. That was the whole idea — a senna tea you actually want to drink.
