Why This Tea Works

Turmeric Root

Organic turmeric root, rich in curcumin — a cornerstone of Ayurvedic wellness tradition for centuries.

Ginger Root

Organic ginger root with natural gingerol — prized in Ayurveda for its warming, aromatic qualities.

Black Pepper

Black pepper with natural piperine — traditionally combined with turmeric in Ayurveda to enhance its benefits.

"Black pepper is the key — it's traditionally paired with turmeric in Ayurvedic practice to enhance absorption."

Hook

Echinacea has been used traditionally in North America for centuries to help with recovery. We blended ours with lemon and ginger for a citrusy, aromatic cup of healing herbs that can be enjoyed anytime — warm or cold.

Story

Echinacea — the purple coneflower — is native to the United States and was used by native Americans for hundreds of years to make nutritious infusions. Rich with phenols, it has carried that tradition into modern wellness.

The challenge with echinacea on its own is that it can feel one-dimensional — herbal and slightly bitter. Our solution is the citrus pairing: organic lemon peel for a refreshing zesty tart taste, organic ginger root for a slightly spicy warming finish, and a touch of hibiscus and lemongrass to brighten and round the cup.

The result is a refreshing, aromatic beverage of healing herbs that you can drink anytime — and it tastes equally good iced.

What You'll Taste

🌸 First sip: Floral echinacea with bright hibiscus tartness 🍋 Mid-palate: Real lemon peel zest — citrusy, never sour 🌶️ Finish: Warming ginger and a clean lemongrass lift

Our customers' favorite add-ins: - Honey — pairs naturally with echinacea - Fresh lemon slice — doubles down on brightness - A cinnamon stick — for a fall variation

How to Brew

Standard cup: Pour boiling water (200–212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5–7 minutes — the color develops as you steep.

Stronger brew: Two bags or 10+ minutes.

Hot toddy: Brew strong, add honey + fresh lemon + a splash of warm water. A favorite during cold-weather months.

Iced: Brew strong, cool, pour over ice with extra lemon. Beautiful color, naturally hydrating.

FAQ

What is echinacea? Echinacea (also called purple coneflower) is a native North American flower used by indigenous peoples for centuries in traditional infusions. It remains one of the most popular herbs in modern wellness teas.

Is this tea caffeine-free? Yes. All ingredients are naturally caffeine-free.

Why hibiscus? Hibiscus deepens the natural color of the cup and adds a bright tart character that pairs beautifully with the echinacea and citrus.

What's the difference between this and Echinacea Turmeric Ginger? Same echinacea base. This one is citrus-forward (lemon + hibiscus + lemongrass). The turmeric version is warmer and golden. Two different moods, same root.

Can I drink this iced? Yes — one of the best iced teas in our seasonal lineup. Brew strong and pour over ice with extra lemon.

Founder's Note

"Echinacea is one of those herbs that gets put into too many wellness products. We tried to do something different — let it actually taste like a tea. Lemon and hibiscus do that work." — Founder of Herbal Cup Tea
