Lady Tally's Royal English Breakfast Tea
Lady Tally's Royal English Breakfast is a classic breakfast black tea: robust black tea from North-East India, with nothing added. It contains caffeine and is made for a morning cup with milk, though it drinks just as well on its own.
The Story Behind Our Royal English Breakfast
Tea plants (Camellia sinensis) are cultivated in the hilly North-Eastern regions of India. Here the cool and sunny weather, well-drained soils, and ample rainfall are ideal for the plant's optimal growth — and produce some of the most respected black tea leaves in the world.
Black tea is made from fully fermented leaves of the tea plant. The fermentation process gives it a robust flavor and a deep golden-brown hue.
Tea is a time-honored drink, enjoyed around the world. Tea made from high-quality leaves, steeped right and enjoyed with or without milk or sweetener, offers its own unique flavor profile in every cup. English breakfast tea is the everyday classic of that tradition: a full-bodied black tea brewed to stand up to milk.
What Royal English Breakfast Tastes Like
🍂 First sip: Robust black tea — deep golden-brown ☕ Mid-palate: Full-bodied and brisk 🥛 Finish: Smooth — made for milk and a little honey or sugar
This is a straightforward, no-flavoring black tea: the kind of cup that starts the day, takes milk without disappearing, and is just as good plain.
How to enjoy it:
- With milk — the classic English way
- With honey or sugar, to taste
- As a tea latte with steamed milk
- Iced with a lemon wedge
How to Brew English Breakfast Tea
Standard cup: Pour freshly boiled water over one tea bag. Brew for 3–5 minutes. Add milk, honey, or sugar to taste.
Strong breakfast cup: Brew the full 5 minutes, or use two bags in a large mug, then add milk.
English breakfast tea latte: Brew one bag in 4 oz hot water for 4 minutes. Pour into 6 oz steamed milk (whole or oat). Sweeten with honey if desired.
Iced black tea: Brew two bags strong in 8 oz hot water, let cool, then pour over a tall glass of ice with a lemon wedge.
Cold brew: Drop 2 bags into 16 oz of cold water and refrigerate overnight. The smoothest, least-bitter version — no heat needed.
What Makes Our Royal English Breakfast Different
Many breakfast teas don't say where their tea comes from. Ours names its growing region — black tea from the hills of North-East India — and packs 20 bags to a box, enough for a month of weekday mornings.
| Lady Tally's | Typical English Breakfast Tea | |
|---|---|---|
| Tea origin | North-East India hills | Often unspecified |

Part of the Royal Teatime Series. Lady Tally's is our line of true black and green teas — the everyday-tea side of the shelf, distinct from our Herbal Cup Ayurveda blends. The Royal Teatime presentation and the larger 20-bag pack are built for people who actually drink black tea daily: enough cups to last, at a price that makes a good breakfast tea an easy habit rather than an occasional splurge.
