This is a lemon green tea — a real green tea base with natural lemon flavor, not an herbal infusion. The green tea comes from the hilly North-Eastern regions of India, where the cool sunny weather, well-drained soils and ample rainfall produce a uniquely flavorful leaf. Brewed from the unfermented leaves of Camellia sinensis and finished as a smooth green tea with lemon, it drinks beautifully hot or over ice — a clean, refreshing daily cup.

The Story Behind Our Lemon Green Tea

Green tea cultivation in India is concentrated in the hilly areas of North-Eastern India. Green tea cultivation requires a humid, subtropical climate with rich, well-drained soils — and these conditions produce a green tea with a unique flavor.

Green tea is harvested by plucking the young tender leaves from the tea plant. To prevent oxidation, the leaves are pan-fried, steamed, rolled or withered and dried — this helps retain the refreshing taste and the green color that sets green tea apart from black tea.

Green tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world, enjoyed by tea lovers everywhere for its mellow, grassy character and its clean, refreshing finish. Pairing it with lemon is a natural fit: the citrus lifts the leaf without covering it.

That's exactly what this blend does. The natural lemon flavor brightens the green tea with a clean, citrusy note — a lemon flavored green tea that tastes like tea first, lemon second. The lemon rounds out any briskness in the leaf rather than masking it, which is why a good green tea with lemon is such an easy, everyday cup: light enough to drink all day, bright enough to feel like a treat.

What Lemon Green Tea Tastes Like

🌿 First sip: Bright, mellow green tea — clean, never bitter 🍋 Mid-palate: Natural lemon flavor — citrusy, smooth ✨ Finish: Soft, refreshing — the kind that makes you want a second cup

This is a cup that leans clean and crisp rather than sweet. The lemon reads as fresh citrus, not candy, and the green tea base keeps it light — the kind of cup that's just as good plain as it is with a spoon of honey.

Our customers' favorite add-ins:

  • Honey — classic green tea pairing
  • Iced with a fresh lemon slice — peak summer refresh
  • A splash of orange juice — for an extra-bright cooler
  • A few mint leaves — for an iced green tea pitcher

How to Brew Lemon Green Tea (Hot & Iced)

Standard cup: Heat water to about 175–185°F (80–85°C, just under boiling) and pour over one tea bag. Brew for 3–5 minutes. Green tea doesn't love a long steep or full-boil water — it can turn bitter. Add honey or a lemon slice to taste.

Stronger cup: Use two bags rather than over-steeping.

Iced lemon green tea: Brew two bags strong, let cool, then pour over a tall glass of ice with a slice of lemon. One of the cleanest, most refreshing iced green teas you can make at home.

Green tea lemon pitcher: Brew 4–5 bags in 4 cups of hot water for 4 minutes, then dilute with 4 cups cold water and refrigerate. Serve over ice with lemon and mint — perfect for warm afternoons and gatherings.

Cold brew: Steep 2 bags in 16 oz cold water in the fridge overnight. The smoothest, naturally sweet version — no heat, no bitterness.

What Makes Our Lemon Green Tea Different

Most supermarket lemon green teas are built around artificial flavoring on a generic, anonymous tea base. Our lemon green tea starts the other way around: a genuine green tea from a named growing region, with natural lemon flavor layered on top. You taste the difference in the finish — a real, mellow green-tea body instead of a flat, sugary-tasting cup.

Lemon Green Tea — FAQ

Does this tea contain caffeine? Yes. Green tea is naturally caffeinated — moderate amount, less than coffee.

Where is the tea from? The tea leaves are grown in the hilly North-Eastern regions of India.

Is this a lemon green tea? Yes — it's a true lemon green tea: a real green tea base (Camellia sinensis) blended with natural lemon flavor. Also searched for as green tea with lemon, green tea lemon, or lemon flavored green tea.

Is the lemon real? It's natural lemon flavor — not artificial, and not actual lemon juice or peel pieces. It gives a bright, true-to-fruit citrus note without added sugar.

Can I make iced lemon green tea with this? Absolutely. Brew it strong, cool it, and pour over ice with a fresh lemon slice — or make a pitcher for a crowd. It's one of the cleanest iced green teas you can make at home.

How is this different from your Matcha Lemon Green Tea? This is a straightforward green tea with lemon — a single green tea base brightened with citrus, light and everyday. Our Matcha Lemon Green Tea is a richer Japanese blend of stone-ground matcha plus sencha with lemon peel, for a fuller, more umami cup. Same citrus idea, two different green teas.

How long should I steep? 3–5 minutes with water just below boiling (about 175–185°F / 80–85°C). Don't over-steep — green tea can turn bitter.

How is Lady Tally's different from Herbal Cup Ayurveda Teas? Lady Tally's is our Royal Teatime Series — true black and green teas from India (not herbal Ayurveda blends). 20 bags per pack vs 16 for Herbal Cup, larger pack size, different price tier.
