Why This Tea Works

Turmeric Root

Organic turmeric root, rich in curcumin — a cornerstone of Ayurvedic wellness tradition for centuries.

Ginger Root

Organic ginger root with natural gingerol — prized in Ayurveda for its warming, aromatic qualities.

Black Pepper

Black pepper with natural piperine — traditionally combined with turmeric in Ayurveda to enhance its benefits.

"Black pepper is the key — it's traditionally paired with turmeric in Ayurvedic practice to enhance absorption."

Echinacea is a very popular herb used worldwide — used by Native Americans for centuries in their folk tradition. We combined it with the warming taste of ginger and turmeric. A rich, natural infusion that's both warming and refreshing — popular age-old herbs in a cup, enjoyable any time of day.

Why Echinacea, Turmeric & Ginger

This blend is a meeting of two traditions in one cup.

Echinacea — the purple coneflower — is native to the prairie of North America. Native Americans used it for centuries, and that tradition continues today. We use the whole-plant parts, not just the root.

Turmeric is the golden-coloured spice root from India, rich in curcuminoids. It has been a kitchen and Ayurvedic staple for thousands of years.

Ginger is the universal spice — used by cultures throughout the world. Aromatic, flavorful, a beloved warming spice. Used as oil, powder, dried or raw.

We add tulsi (holy basil) for its sacred Ayurvedic depth and a small amount of black pepper — black pepper is the traditional Ayurvedic companion of turmeric and adds a subtle peppery lift to the finish.

What You'll Taste

🟡 First sip: Warming golden turmeric — earthy and rich 🌶️ Mid-palate: Bold ginger heat with herbal echinacea ✨ Finish: Tulsi brightness, a subtle pepper bite

Our customers' favorite add-ins:

  • Honey + lemon — the classic immune-season pairing
  • Warm milk — for a Turmeric-Echinacea Latte
  • A pinch of cinnamon — extra Ayurvedic warmth

How to Brew

Standard cup: Pour boiling water (200–212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5–7 minutes.

Stronger brew: Two bags or 10+ minutes. Roots and rhizomes only get richer with longer steeping.

Hot toddy style: Brew strong, add honey + fresh lemon. A classic for cold-weather days.

Golden Echinacea Latte: Brew one bag in a small amount of water. Add warm whole milk and honey. Cozy and warming.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is echinacea? Echinacea (purple coneflower) is a native North American flower used for centuries in traditional herbalism. It is one of the most popular herbs in modern wellness teas.

Why turmeric AND ginger AND black pepper? This is the Ayurvedic golden-trio. Black pepper is the traditional companion of turmeric in Indian kitchens for thousands of years — they're almost always brewed together.

Is this a turmeric echinacea tea? Yes — it's an organic turmeric echinacea tea: echinacea whole-plant parts with golden turmeric and warming ginger, finished with tulsi and a little black pepper. Whether you searched for an echinacea turmeric ginger tea or a turmeric echinacea tea, this is the same warming, caffeine-free seasonal cup.

Is this tea caffeine-free? Yes. All ingredients are naturally caffeine-free.

How much black pepper is in this? A small amount — enough to give a subtle bite at the finish, not enough to overpower the cup.

Can I drink this every day? Yes — these are kitchen and culinary ingredients used daily across India and the Americas. As with any herbal tea, listen to your body.

Founder's Note

"Echinacea and turmeric come from two different worlds — North American prairie and Indian kitchen. Putting them in one cup is the kind of blend I love most: takes the best of each tradition and lets them stand together." — Founder of Herbal Cup Tea
