Organic moringa leaves take our turmeric ginger moringa tea from golden to green-gold, adding body to the earthy turmeric, bold ginger and black pepper. Caffeine-free and blended in California, it's a spice lover's tea that's as good in soup as in a mug.

Why We Blend Turmeric and Ginger with Moringa

Some recipes don't need improving. They need the right ingredients.

Turmeric and ginger have been brewed together for generations across India — a pairing so deeply rooted in Ayurvedic tradition that one rarely appears without the other. In that tradition, ginger is turmeric's classic companion, always present to round out the cup with warmth and depth. Our founder added a third element: moringa, a tree whose leaves, fruit and flowers have been eaten across Asia and Africa for thousands of years.

The result is a blend with its roots in India and its leaves from Africa or Southeast Asia. Turmeric with 5.5% curcumin from India, verified by independent lab testing (most turmeric teas use 1.5% or less). Ginger root, bold and warming. Moringa leaves, smooth and green. And black pepper, the quiet finishing touch that has accompanied turmeric in Indian kitchens for as long as anyone can remember.

This is not a single-note turmeric tea. It's the one with depth — an earthy, warming, green-gold cup with turmeric, ginger and moringa in every sip.

What Turmeric Ginger Moringa Tea Tastes Like

🌿 First sip: Warm, golden earthiness from the turmeric with a clean, green undertone from moringa 🌶️ Mid-palate: Bold ginger heat rises through the cup — spicier and more forward than our other turmeric blends 🍃 Finish: A smooth, leafy depth from the moringa that lingers, followed by a subtle peppery bite from the black pepper

What makes this flavor unique in our turmeric lineup:

Our customers' favorite add-ins:

  • Honey — smooths the edges and brings out the moringa's earthy sweetness
  • Fresh lemon — brightens the golden warmth
  • A splash of whole milk — for a rich, creamy Golden Latte

How to Brew Turmeric Ginger Moringa Tea

Standard cup: Pour boiling water (200–212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5–7 minutes. Gently press the tea bag with a spoon before removing to release every last drop of flavor.

Stronger brew: Use two bags or steep 10+ minutes. The longer you steep, the more the moringa's green depth comes through. This tea only gets richer with time.

Golden Moringa Latte: Brew one bag in a small amount of water. Add warm whole milk and a spoonful of honey. The moringa gives this latte a richer, more layered body than a standard turmeric latte.

In the kitchen: Drop 2–3 tea bags into soups, bone broth, or grain dishes while cooking. The moringa adds a subtle, savory green note to the pot.

Best enjoyed: As warm as possible. Squeeze the bag before removing — you want all of that flavor in your cup.

Turmeric, Ginger and Moringa Tea — FAQ

What's the difference between this and your Turmeric Ginger & Black Pepper tea? Turmeric Ginger & Black Pepper is our original — a bold, three-ingredient classic. This blend adds moringa leaves, which bring a smooth, leafy finish. If you love the original and want a more full-bodied, layered cup, this is the next step.

What is moringa, and why is it in this tea? Moringa comes from the Moringa oleifera tree, which has been used as food in Asia and Africa for thousands of years. In this blend, moringa adds a clean, leafy green depth that makes the cup more complex and full-bodied than a standard turmeric tea.

How much curcumin is in the turmeric? Our turmeric contains 5.5% curcumin, verified by independent lab testing. Most turmeric teas use 1.5% or less.

Is this tea caffeine-free? Yes. This blend is naturally caffeine-free. You can enjoy it any time of day — morning, afternoon, or evening.

Can I cook with this tea? Absolutely. Our founder recommends dropping 2–3 tea bags into soups, bone broth, or grain dishes while cooking. The combination of turmeric, ginger, and moringa adds a wonderful Ayurvedic warmth to savory recipes.

How is this different from Turmeric Cinnamon Moringa? Both have turmeric, ginger, moringa and black pepper, but Turmeric Cinnamon Moringa leads with cinnamon for a sweeter, cozier, more dessert-like cup. This blend has no cinnamon, so the ginger sets the tone: more warming, spicier, bolder. Choose this one for heat, the cinnamon blend for sweetness.

A Note from Herbal Cup

This one is two roots and a leaf, with a little black pepper behind them. Turmeric and ginger are the classic Ayurvedic pairing we start from, and the moringa leaf is what turns the cup greener and fuller. We think of it as a warming tea, and we use it in soups and broths as often as we brew it in a mug.
