Hook
A bright, berry-forward herbal tea that makes senna — one of the most well-known traditional herbs in the world — actually enjoyable to drink. Mixed berry flavor, cool spearmint, tangy hibiscus, and smooth licorice root come together in a fruity, refreshing cup that fits easily into your wellness routine.
Story
Senna is one of those herbs that people have known about for a very long time. It has been used in traditional herbalism across cultures and across centuries. It is not a new discovery, not a trend — it is one of the most recognized herbs in the world. And yet, most senna teas on the market taste like exactly what they are: a functional blend that you drink because you feel you should, not because you actually want to.
We thought that was a shame. Because if something is going to be part of your wellness routine, it should be something you look forward to — not something you endure.
So we built this blend around flavor first. Mixed berries give the tea a bright, fruity sweetness that hits you before anything else. Hibiscus adds a natural tartness and a beautiful ruby-pink hue in the cup. Spearmint keeps things cool and fresh. Orange peel brings a citrusy lift. Fennel and licorice root smooth everything out with warm, rounded sweetness. Lemongrass adds a clean, crisp finish.
The senna is there — the traditional herb that has made this category famous for generations — but it is surrounded by friends. Friends that make every cup taste like a berry tea first, and an herbal ritual second.
This is a tea you can enjoy as part of your routine — berry-forward, refreshing, and genuinely pleasant to drink. That was the goal. And we think we got it right.
What You'Ll Taste
🫐 First sip: Bright mixed berry sweetness — fruity, tart, and vibrant — with a cool spearmint breeze underneath 🌺 Mid-palate: Tangy hibiscus lifts the cup with cranberry-like brightness, while orange peel adds a citrusy spark and fennel brings a warm, rounded sweetness 🌿 Finish: Smooth licorice root and clean lemongrass fade into a gentle berry warmth — refreshing, not heavy, with a cool mint echo
Tasting notes: mixed berry sweetness · cool spearmint · tangy hibiscus · citrus brightness · fennel warmth · smooth licorice · clean lemongrass finish
Our customers' favorite add-ins:
- Nothing at all — the berry flavor and licorice sweetness make this genuinely enjoyable on its own
- A drizzle of honey — deepens the berry sweetness into something almost jam-like
- A squeeze of lemon — lifts the tartness and makes the fruity flavors pop even more
- Iced with fresh berries — a beautiful, colorful way to enjoy it on warmer days
How To Brew
Standard cup: Pour freshly boiled water (200-212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5-7 minutes. The berry flavor and spearmint come forward first, with the deeper herbal notes emerging as the steep continues. Leave the tea bag in your cup for a fuller experience.
Stronger brew: Use one bag and steep 10+ minutes. Gently press the tea bag with a spoon before removing to release every last drop of herbal extract. The berry and hibiscus flavors only deepen with time.
Our founder's cup: Steep one bag in boiling water for 7-10 minutes. Gently squeeze the bag. Drink it as warm as possible. No sweetener needed — the licorice root and berry flavor already deliver a naturally sweet, satisfying cup.
Iced berry tea: Brew one bag in 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes. Let cool, pour over a glass of ice. The mixed berry flavor becomes crisp and incredibly refreshing cold. Add a squeeze of lemon and a few fresh berries if you want to dress it up.
Important brewing note: This tea contains senna. Do not exceed 2 cups per day. Do not use for more than 1 week continuously. See the Caution section below for full guidance.

FOUNDER'S NOTE
"Senna is a very well-known herb — people have used it in traditional herbalism for a very long time. But most senna teas, they do not taste good. That is the problem. So we said, let us make this actually enjoyable. We added mixed berries for that fruity sweetness, spearmint for the freshness, hibiscus for the color and the tang, fennel for the warmth. Now you have a tea that is part of your wellness routine and you actually look forward to drinking it. The berry flavor is the first thing you taste, and it is a really pleasant cup. That was the whole idea — make it something you want to drink, not something you have to drink." — Founder of Herbal Cup Tea
