Why This Tea Works

Turmeric Root

Organic turmeric root, rich in curcumin — a cornerstone of Ayurvedic wellness tradition for centuries.

Ginger Root

Organic ginger root with natural gingerol — prized in Ayurveda for its warming, aromatic qualities.

Black Pepper

Black pepper with natural piperine — traditionally combined with turmeric in Ayurveda to enhance its benefits.

"Black pepper is the key — it's traditionally paired with turmeric in Ayurvedic practice to enhance absorption."

Hook

Three of the most celebrated super herbs in traditional wellness — turmeric, ginger, and moringa — have never shared a tea bag this good. Organic turmeric with 5.5% curcumin, bold ginger, mineral-rich moringa leaves, and black pepper, blended in our California facility from ingredients sourced across India, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Story

Some recipes don't need improving. They need the right ingredients.

Turmeric and ginger have been brewed together for generations across India — a pairing so deeply rooted in Ayurvedic tradition that one rarely appears without the other. In that tradition, ginger is turmeric's classic companion, always present to round out the cup with warmth and depth. Our founder added a third element: moringa, known as the "miracle tree" across Africa, where it has been revered for centuries as one of the most nutritionally dense plants on Earth.

The result is a blend that draws from three continents. Turmeric with 5.5% curcumin from India — verified by independent lab testing, more than 3x the industry standard. Ginger root, bold and warming. Moringa leaves with 77 naturally occurring minerals and more protein than most plants. And black pepper, the quiet finishing touch that has accompanied turmeric in Indian kitchens for as long as anyone can remember.

This is not a single-note turmeric tea. It's the one with depth — an earthy, warming, green-gold cup that gives you three super herbs in every sip.

What You'll Taste

🌿 First sip: Warm, golden earthiness from the turmeric with a clean, green undertone from moringa 🌶️ Mid-palate: Bold ginger heat rises through the cup — spicier and more forward than our other turmeric blends 🍃 Finish: A smooth, leafy depth from the moringa that lingers, followed by a subtle peppery bite from the black pepper

What makes this flavor unique in our turmeric lineup:

Our customers' favorite add-ins:

  • Honey — smooths the edges and brings out the moringa's earthy sweetness
  • Fresh lemon — brightens the golden warmth
  • A splash of whole milk — for a rich, mineral-packed Golden Latte

How to Brew

Standard cup: Pour boiling water (200–212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5–7 minutes. Gently press the tea bag with a spoon before removing to release every last drop of flavor and herbal extract.

Stronger brew: Use two bags or steep 10+ minutes. The longer you steep, the more the moringa's green depth comes through. This tea only gets richer with time.

Golden Moringa Latte: Brew one bag in a small amount of water. Add warm whole milk and a spoonful of honey. The moringa gives this latte a richer, more layered body than a standard turmeric latte.

In the kitchen: Drop 2–3 tea bags into soups, bone broth, or grain dishes while cooking. The moringa adds a subtle, nutritious green note that works beautifully in savory recipes — our founder specifically recommends this blend for cooking.

Best enjoyed: As warm as possible. Squeeze the bag before removing — you want everything those three herbs have to offer in your cup.

FAQ

What's the difference between this and your Turmeric Ginger & Black Pepper tea? Turmeric Ginger & Black Pepper is our original — a bold, three-ingredient classic. This blend adds moringa leaves, which bring a rich, green mineral dimension: 77 naturally occurring minerals and more protein than most plants. If you love the original and want a more full-bodied, nutritionally layered cup, this is the next step.

What is moringa, and why is it in this tea? Moringa comes from the Moringa oleifera tree, known as the "miracle tree" across Africa, where it has been used for centuries. The leaves contain 77 naturally occurring minerals and more protein than most plants. In this blend, moringa adds a clean, leafy green depth that makes the cup more complex and full-bodied than a standard turmeric tea.

How much curcumin is in the turmeric? Our turmeric contains 5.5% curcumin, verified by independent lab testing. The industry standard is approximately 1.5%, so this is more than 3x the typical amount.

Is this tea caffeine-free? Yes. All our Ayurvedic herbal blends are naturally caffeine-free. You can enjoy it any time of day — morning, afternoon, or evening.

Can I cook with this tea? Absolutely. Our founder recommends dropping 2–3 tea bags into soups, bone broth, or grain dishes while cooking. The combination of turmeric, ginger, and moringa adds a wonderful Ayurvedic warmth to savory recipes.

How is this different from Turmeric Cinnamon Moringa? Both contain turmeric, moringa, and black pepper. The difference is the third herb: this blend uses ginger (more warming, spicier, bolder), while Turmeric Cinnamon Moringa uses cinnamon (sweeter, cozier, more dessert-like). Choose ginger for heat, cinnamon for sweetness.

Founder's Note

"Turmeric, ginger, moringa — three super herbs. The turmeric is 5.5% curcumin, and the ginger has always been turmeric's classic Ayurvedic companion. Then you add moringa — the miracle tree — with all the multi-minerals. In one cup you're getting curcumin, you're getting warmth, and you're getting a dose of 77 minerals from one of the most nutritious plants on the planet. This is a very, very good formula. Try it in your soups and broths too — it's fantastic for cooking." — Founder of Herbal Cup Tea
