Hook
When the cold months arrive, you want a cup that feels like it was made for exactly this moment. Wild cherry bark — used in Native American herbal tradition for centuries — meets linden bark, eucalyptus, and licorice in a USDA Organic, caffeine-free Ayurvedic blend that is warming, naturally sweet, and crafted for the cold season.
Story
There is a season for every tea. And this one belongs to the cold months.
When the weather turns, when the air gets dry and sharp, when you find yourself reaching for something warm — that is when this tea does its best work. Not because it fixes anything. Because it was crafted to be the most comforting cup you can hold in your hands when the world outside is cold.
Our founder built this blend around four botanicals with deep roots in herbal tradition. Wild cherry bark has been used in Native American herbal tradition for centuries — it is one of those ingredients that carries real heritage, the kind of botanical knowledge passed down through generations. Linden bark brings a soft, honey-like character that makes the whole cup feel gentle and smooth. Eucalyptus adds a clean, cooling note — the kind that opens up your senses on a cold morning. And licorice root ties it all together with a natural honey-like sweetness that means most people never need to add a thing.
Behind those four, you have spearmint, echinacea, lemongrass, tulsi, mullein, marshmallow root, linden flowers, and slippery elm bark — each one organic, each one chosen to contribute to the flavor, the texture, and the experience of the cup.
This is a cold-season companion. The tea you stock up on before winter arrives and keep in the cupboard until spring. When you need warmth, when you need comfort, when you need a cup that feels like it was blended with the cold months in mind — this is that tea.
What You'Ll Taste
🌿 First sip: Smooth, natural honey-like sweetness from licorice root and linden bark — warm and inviting from the very first moment 🍒 Mid-palate: A subtle fruit-wood note from wild cherry bark, layered with cool spearmint and a bright eucalyptus lift that opens up the cup 🌸 Finish: Soft, mellow, and coating — marshmallow root and slippery elm bark give the cup a gentle, silky texture that lingers
Tasting notes: naturally sweet · honey-like warmth · cool eucalyptus · subtle cherry-wood · smooth, silky finish
Our customers' favorite add-ins:
- Honey — the natural companion, amplifies the warmth and sweetness
- A squeeze of lemon — brightens the eucalyptus and lemongrass notes beautifully
- Nothing at all — the licorice root provides a generous natural sweetness on its own
How To Brew
Standard cup: Pour freshly boiled water (200-212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5-7 minutes. Leave the tea bag in the cup — the longer it steeps, the smoother and more aromatic the cup becomes.
Stronger brew: Use two bags or steep 10+ minutes. Gently press the tea bag with a spoon before removing to release every last drop of herbal extract. Herbal teas never turn bitter — they only get richer and more soothing.
our founder's cold-season ritual: Steep one bag in boiling water for 7-10 minutes. Gently squeeze the bag. Add honey if desired, but try it plain first — the licorice root already provides a natural honey-like sweetness. Drink it as warm as possible. This is the cup you reach for first thing on a cold morning, or the last thing you hold before bed during the winter months.
Warming eucalyptus brew: Brew one bag in a small amount of hot water (about 4 oz) for 10 minutes. Inhale the steam before your first sip — the eucalyptus and spearmint release a clean, aromatic fragrance. Then add more hot water to your preferred strength and enjoy.
Iced herbal refresher: Brew two bags in 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes. Let cool and pour over ice. Add honey and a lemon slice. The eucalyptus and spearmint become crisp and refreshing — a surprisingly bright cold-weather iced option.

Faq
What does Ayurveda Tea for Throat taste like? The cup is naturally sweet from licorice root, with a warm, honey-like smoothness from linden bark. You will notice a subtle fruit-wood note from wild cherry bark, a clean eucalyptus lift, and a cool spearmint freshness. Marshmallow root and slippery elm bark give the tea a silky, coating texture. The overall experience is warming, smooth, and gently sweet — most people enjoy it without any added sweetener.
Is this tea caffeine-free? When should I drink it? Yes, this is a 100% herbal blend — naturally caffeine-free with no green tea, black tea, or caffeinated ingredients. It was crafted for the cold season, but you can enjoy it any time of year, morning through evening.
What is wild cherry bark, and why is it in this tea? Wild cherry bark is a botanical that has been used in Native American herbal tradition for centuries. It has a distinctive, subtle fruit-wood flavor that adds depth and complexity to the blend. You will rarely find it in commercial teas, which is one of the things that makes this formula unique.
What makes this different from other throat teas? Most throat teas rely on menthol or a single herb like chamomile. This blend uses ten organic botanicals — wild cherry bark, linden bark, eucalyptus, licorice, marshmallow root, slippery elm bark, spearmint, echinacea, tulsi, and lemongrass — working together to create a cup with real depth, natural sweetness, and a smooth, silky texture. It is an Ayurvedic formula, not a one-note remedy.
How should I brew this tea for the best experience? Pour freshly boiled water over one tea bag and steep for 5-10 minutes — longer steeping brings out more of the licorice sweetness and the smooth, silky texture from the root herbs. Leave the bag in the cup and gently squeeze before removing. Best enjoyed as warm as possible. Add honey if you like, but try it plain first.
Is this tea only for the cold season? It was crafted with the cold months in mind — our founder calls it a "cold-season companion." That said, many of our customers enjoy it year-round for its warming, naturally sweet flavor and smooth texture. It is caffeine-free, so it works at any time of day, any season.
FOUNDER'S NOTE
"Throat is made with wild cherry bark, linden bark, eucalyptus, and licorice. Wild cherry bark has been used in Native American herbal tradition for centuries — it is a very special ingredient that you will not find in most teas. And the licorice — licorice adds a natural honey-like sweetness that makes the whole cup smooth and comforting. You do not need to add anything. This is the tea I reach for when the cold season arrives. It is warming, it is smooth, and it is crafted for those months when you want something that feels like it is taking care of you." — Founder of Herbal Cup Tea
