Why This Tea Works

Turmeric Root

Organic turmeric root, rich in curcumin — a cornerstone of Ayurvedic wellness tradition for centuries.

Ginger Root

Organic ginger root with natural gingerol — prized in Ayurveda for its warming, aromatic qualities.

Black Pepper

Black pepper with natural piperine — traditionally combined with turmeric in Ayurveda to enhance its benefits.

"Black pepper is the key — it's traditionally paired with turmeric in Ayurvedic practice to enhance absorption."

Hook

Crafted specifically for women, this USDA Organic Ayurvedic blend brings together 18 herbs — led by shatavari, ashwagandha, raspberry leaf, and lavender — into one warm, comforting daily ritual. Herbal Cup's Women's Tea is the tea women come back to month after month — a thoughtfully balanced cup designed for the rhythms of women's lives.

Story

This Women's Tea is a very special blend to us. It was built around shatavari — what Ayurveda calls the "queen of herbs." If ashwagandha is the king, shatavari is the queen. And when we launched this tea, almost nobody in America knew what shatavari was.

We didn't create this blend to follow a trend. We created it because the tradition was already there — centuries of Ayurvedic wisdom, passed down through generations of women in India. Shatavari has been cherished in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries, and we wanted to bring that same care to modern women here.

This isn't a tea with three or four ingredients. We blended 18 herbs — cinnamon, licorice root, spearmint, shatavari, black pepper, hibiscus, coriander, fennel, ginger, sarsaparilla, dandelion root, raspberry leaf, chamomile, orange peel, stevia, nettle, lavender, and ashwagandha — each one chosen for a reason, each one organic. The result is a cup that feels like it was made just for you.

What You'll Taste

🌸 First sip: A bright, aromatic lift — orange peel, spearmint, and soft lavender 🍯 Mid-palate: Warm cinnamon spice melts into natural sweetness from licorice root, with a juicy, rosy tang from hibiscus 🌿 Finish: Smooth, grounding, and earthy — shatavari, ashwagandha, and chamomile settle into a calm, silky close

Tasting notes: warm cinnamon, minty-fresh top notes, floral lavender, rosy-tart hibiscus, smooth natural sweetness

Our customers' favorite ways to enjoy it:

  • Hot in the morning — as the first ritual of the day
  • Iced in summer — steep strong, chill, and enjoy with a squeeze of lemon
  • With honey — a touch of sweetness to round out the warmth
  • As an evening wind-down — caffeine-free, so it works beautifully before bed

How to Brew

Standard cup: Pour freshly boiled water (200–212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5–7 minutes. Leave the tea bag in the cup for the fullest experience. Gently squeeze the bag before removing to release any remaining extract.

Stronger brew: Use two bags or steep 10+ minutes. Herbal teas only get richer with time — this blend especially rewards patience.

Founder's Daily Ritual (personal recipe): Brew 5–6 tea bags in a large pot or pitcher. Let cool and store in the fridge. Each morning, pour yourself a glass and drink it as part of your daily routine — like a wellness ritual you can count on every single day. This is how our founder recommends women get the most from this blend.

Iced Women's Tea: Brew 2–3 bags in a small amount of hot water (concentrated). Pour over a full glass of ice. Add a slice of lemon or a drizzle of honey. A gorgeous rosy-pink cup from the hibiscus.

Founder's Note

"This women's tea is a very special blend. Shatavari is the queen of herbs in Ayurveda — ashwagandha is the king. When we launched this, nobody in America knew what shatavari was. We changed that. I blended 18 herbs into this cup because women deserve a tea that was created with real thought, real tradition, and real ingredients. Not three herbs in a bag with a pink label. This is the real thing." — Founder of Herbal Cup Tea
